The Creation of The Tarot ReadingThe Tarot Reading began in 2016, at the invocation of Head Summoners Alan Katz and Quill Nebeker.
It was called to the mortal plane to be a place for the unusually bold - both in audiences and performers. It is a ritual for one and all, a mystical event that appears out of thin air and disappears into smoke. It has since had multiple iterations, corporealizing all over the DC area whenever it is summoned.

The AnnalsTarot IV occurred in March, 2018 at the Anacostia Arts Center in the Anacostia Historic District of Washington, DC, and was partially funded by the ARCH BID. It featured Mediums Justin J Bell, Allyson Harkey, Jon Jon Johnson, David S Kessler, Niusha Nawab, Rebecca Speas, Nyla Rose, and for one performance Alan Katz. navi played The Fool. The Summoning Team was Joan Cummins, Alan Katz, and Quill Nebeker. The Head Alchemist was Cody Whitfield. The Visual Priest was Mary Keegan.
Tarot III occured in October, 2017 at The #9 Lounge at Evening Star Cafe in the Del Ray neighborhood in Alexandria, VA. It featured Mediums B'Ellana Duquesne, Gwen Grastorf, Allyson Harkey, Jon Jon Johnson, Michael "Cariño Valentine" Moya, Niusha Nawab, and Ms. Buffy Wylde. Alan Katz played The Fool. The Summoning Team was led by Alan Katz & Quill Nebeker with Joan Cummins. The Alchemy team was led by Cody Whitfield, with Allison Poms. Tarot II occurred in March, 2017 at The #9 Lounge at Evening Star Cafe in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, VA. It featured Mediums Yogini Neen Certo, Joan Cummins, B'Ellana Duquesne, Alan Katz, Quill Nebeker, Natalie "Sylvia Trash" Piegari, and Doug Robinson. Gwen Grastorf played The Fool. Cody Whitfield was Alchemist. The Summoning team was Alan Katz & Quill Nebeker. Tarot I occurred in October, 2016 at Studio 1469 in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC. It featured Mediums 2Deep the Poetess, Yogini Neen Certo, Joan Cummins, Ezra Tozian, Jon Jon Johnson, Alan Katz and navi. Rebecca Speas played The Fool. Cody Whitfield was Alchemist. The Summoning Team was Alan Katz & Quill Nebeker. |
